The Zakat Fund has announced that it has adopted the ID card as one of the required documents for benefiting from the "Support Project", which the Fund has launched with the aim of helping needy families of limited income.
In a press release published by Al Khaleej newspaper today, the Fund pointed out that in order to obtain help through the "Support Project", an applicant for Zakat funds should be no less than 40 years of age, noting that a copy of the ID card, applicant's personal photo, salary certificate of the spouse, if any, or a pension certificate for retirees and other documents depending on each case should be attached to the application; otherwise, the application would be ignored.
This was announced at a time the Zakat Fund unveiled that it gave out AED12.654 million during the first half of this year to help those of limited income who are eligible for Zakat as part of the "Support Project".
