Emirates ID announced that the first phase of the trail operation at Abu Dhabi New Service Point located in Musaffah will start on Tuesday morning, June 29, 2010.
During the trial period, registration at the said new service point will be restricted to a limited number of customers from certain private organizations and companies operating in the UAE. The targeted customers will be moved to Musaffah SP to be registered in the ID Card and Population Register.
Dr. Eng. Ali Mohamed Al Khouri, Emirates ID Acting GM, expressed his hope that Musaffah SP will make a qualitative movement in Emirates ID work, as it is the largest and most prominent SP among all the Emirates ID SPs. Musaffah SP includes 40 registration lines with a daily capacity of registering more than 3200 people in the ID Card and Population Register. The new SP has two shifts.
Al Khouri explained that Emirates ID did its best to best equip the new SP with the cutting edge equipment. These efforts are intended to improve customer services and provide qualitative and excellent services for customers to be able to register in the ID Card program easily and comfortably.
Al Khouri said that Emirates ID will gradually close three of its SPs in Abu Dhabi upon the completion of the trial operation phase in Musaffah SP and after assuring that the new SP can operate all registration lines and meet all customer needs comfortably.
Al Khouri said that the SPs to be closed in Abu Dhabi are the SP located at Municipalities Headquarters, Al Matar street (behind Carrefour), the SP located at Police Officers Club and the SP located at Al Nahyan Camp.
Al Khouri stressed that Emirates ID will keep the SP at Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company in Mushref and the management studies restricting this SP to provide service for people with special needs and the elderly.
Al Khouri stated that the first phase in Musaffah new SP will witness the trial operation of a limited number of registration lines and to be increased gradually, referring that working hours at Musaffah SP start from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, from Saturday to Thursday. Musaffah SP is closed on Fridays.
The Acting GM expressed his trust that Musaffah SP will contribute to dealing with the increasing numbers of customers, indicating that opening this SP is a part of the development process adopted by Emirates ID. The new SP will also address the expected change after the practical application of the new SP. It's intended to meet customer needs and provide them with the best service.
He also reassured that all Emirates ID departments, divisions and SPs are very keen on intensifying efforts and redoubling work during the upcoming period, in an attempt to implement the initiatives and projects described in Emirates ID strategy so that it can fulfill the objectives of the new registration strategy together with its various themes.
It's noteworthy that Abu Dhabi New SP is located in Musaffah, next to the Preventive Medicine Center of Abu Dhabi Health Services Co. "SEHA".
